our story
Hatice Arslan grew up in a small town in Düzce. With the support of her family, she came to London at a young age and started to build her life here. This initially difficult process transformed thanks to Hatice’s determination and desire to learn; she gained experience by working in various areas of the textile industry.
Hatice did not stay in a single position in the textile industry. She took part in many stages from fabric cutting to production, from alterations to custom sewing. This versatile experience helped her develop both technical and aesthetic perspectives.
With the experience she gained and her dedication to her work, she founded Stitch World in 2016. Her aim was to simplify complex processes and offer her customers a quality, meticulous and sincere tailoring experience. Hatice preferred to do her job properly rather than doing a big advertising campaign or becoming famous.
Stitch World not only sews new clothes, but also focuses on altering and repairing existing clothes. In this way, it extends the life of clothes and helps reduce waste. This approach reflects Hatice’s respect for her work and her responsibility to the future.
Stitch World today serves a small but loyal customer base. Hatice and her team continue to meet the expectations of their customers by working with the same meticulousness every day. Their modest goals include; establishing long-term relationships with quality workmanship and spreading sustainable fashion awareness.
